Top 5 Summer Blushes: Review + Swatches

Top 5 Summer Blushes: Review + Swatches

Top 5 Summer Blushes | Review + Swatches

Continuing with my top summer series, I decided to write about my favourite summer blushes.

1. NYX Summer Peach

NYX Summer Peach is a like the satin version of NARS Orgasm blush. Even though there is shimmer in the pan, it does not translate on to the cheeks.

If you’re not a big fan of pink blushes or you feel like pink blushes clash with your skin tone, I would recommend giving this a try — although it is a pink blush, it leans very warm, making it suitable for tan/olive skin tones.

2. Revlon PhotoReady Cream Blush in Flushed

I wish this blush formula came in more colours! This is the only cream blush that I own, but I absolutely love it because the lasting power is unreal. It looks very scary in the pan, but on the cheeks, the colour sheers out. Flushed is your typical fuchsia colour and looks great with a fuchsia lip like CoverGirl Spellbound.

3. MAC Peaches Blush

This blush is well-loved in the MAC community and for good reason! MAC Peaches a true peach blush that adds a beautiful glow to the cheeks. Although it is well-loved by those with a tan/olive skin tone, I could definitely see fair girls rocking this blush as well (and if that’s enough to convince you, essiebutton loves this blush too ;) #EssieButtonEffect anyone?)

4. MAC Gingerly Blush

Now you may look at this colour in the pan and not think much of it. But when swatched, it’s a nice peachy-brown colour. I think if MAC Peaches and Harmony had a baby, it would be MAC Gingerly!

If you are more on the fair side, I would suggest passing on this blush because it may look orange against your skin tone. But with a tan (I’m a MAC NC35 for reference), MAC Gingerly will give a nice warmth to the cheeks.

5. NARS Luster Blush

Saving the best for last! This is my favourite blush of all time. Yes. Dare I make a proclamation like that!? NARS Luster warm, shimmery apricot colour that I love to bust out when I’m going to a party or wedding. It looks really nice with a red lip and also eliminates the need for a highlighter on the cheekbones since the blush already has a gorgeous sheen.

That’s a wrap!

What are you waiting for?! Buy all of the blushes!!!111 D:

Gingerly and Peaches looks great! I’ve only tried the MAC mineralized blushers, so I definitely want to give their regular blushers a go! Great post!

I love NYX’s Summer Peach!! It’s one of my new favourite blushes and as the name suggests, perfect for summer! I’m actually not a fan of the Revlon blush formulas, as I find them too silicone-y. Flushed is an amazing colour though!
I NEED TO CHECK OUT LUSTER NOW. @_@

Seeing as we have super similar taste, I don’t think Gingerly will disappoint! :)

      Thank you so much, Ruby!

I LOVE peach blush, you got me lusting for MAC peaches now! The most peachiest blush I use is Buxom in Euphoria! Flushed is so pretty too, I love that colour on my lips!

I love peachy blushes so I may need to look into Euphoria — never owned a blush from Buxom before. :)

MAC Gingerly and NARS Luster are definitely both different! Gingerly is matte and Luster is very shimmery. Gingerly is a peachy-brown, whereas Luster is apricot-ish. :)

Today, while I was at work, my sister stole my
apple ipad and tested to see if it can survive a thirty foot drop, just
so she can be a youtube sensation. My iPad is now destroyed
and she has 83 views. I know this is totally off topic but I had to share it with someone!
